Hammock instruction: Getting in & out of a hammock
To get into a hammock sit with your back to the hammock, as if you are about to sit on a chair. Reach behind you and spread out the hammock before sitting. This ensure you make full use of the space and your weight is distributed evenly. Now sit down and lay back NEVER climb in feet first. To get out of a hammock swing your legs over the side and sit up. Then standing hold the edges of the hammock and push yourself up and off.

Don't jump up and down in the hammock and do not use the hammock as a play-ground swing. Children have been known to use the hammock for a trampoline or try to swing the hammock off its hooks. This is dangerous and not the intended use of your hammock. It will also cause excessive wear on the hammock and mounting hardware.
Caution should be used when allowing children to use a hammock. Do not allow children to use the hammock without direct adult supervision. Never place an Infant in any hammock.
Don't exceed maximum safe weight capacity stated in the hammock instructions.
When hanging your hammock be certain that it is situated so that the angle of the hammock when someone is lying in it will exceed 25 degrees.
A hammock can be unstable unless you always place your weight in the center of the hammock. Do not sit on the edge.

Everyone wants to know how to clean their hammock. To wash it, use warm, soapy water and a soft-bristled scrub brush. A liquid detergent such as WISK works well. Lay the hammock on a deck or concrete surface, wet it down thoroughly with a garden hose, and scrub away. Rinse well and allow to dry. Rope may shrink slightly but will stretch back out with use.
