Sailing Hammock

Hammocks have traditionally been used by sailors on sailing ships; since a hammock moves in concert with the motion of the vessel, the sleeper is not at a risk of being thrown onto the floor. Some people worry that it is easy to fall out of a sailing hammock during sleep, but this is rarely the case. The sides of traditional hammocks wrap around the sleeper like a cocoon and make an inadvertent fall virtually impossible.

For those of you who have carved out a lifestyle that allows for a retreat on top of the water on your own boat, be it occasionally, or in some cases permanently, a sailing hammock is the solution to those rocking wavy squalls and you can enjoy a consistently peaceful respite from the world's dramas and pressures.

A hammock also makes an excellent, compact, and portable bed that will let you hang out and stargaze at night with your favourite companion, or lounge during the day and catch a few rays while enjoying your latest book or magazine of choice. So, before you embark on your next voyage, take a look at the sailing hammocks featured on the right.
